Bureaucracy Theory
The term Bureaucracy was used, for the first time, by Max Weber to describe a culture and structure of company firmly established. Bureaucracy Theory was born from the need of hierarchy´s strict definition, rules and regulations and the authority lines as a way to guarantee the long term survival. Even though it had been applied with relative success in numerous organizations in the beginning of the 20th century and continues actually to be used in several organizations, bureaucracy dropped into disuse due to the impersonality that it’s associated to it, the structural hardness from where it depends (blocking the innovation and creativity) and to the slowness that causes in the processes.
