Management by Activities Concept
Management by Activities is a specific management type or style with a shorter time horizon and it’s many times adopted in the organizations to try to reverse the consequences and not to solve the causes. Occurs especially in the higher levels and at the advisors level whenever their tasks are not properly identified and quantified, also may occur in the operational levels. Generally, the result is the existence of a lot of activity and few results.
Other examples of management types with similar characteristics are the following: Management by Pressure, Management by Impulses, Management by Crisis/Problems and Management by Campaigns.
