Industry Concept
The term industry is generally used to designate the secondary sector, which includes all manufacturing industries and construction industries.
We can define the term industry as being any human activity that with the employees’ work aid and methods and production techniques, converts the raw materials into products that will be consumed by people or used in other industries. Examples of types of industry are the mining (that extracts from nature the raw materials to be used in other industries), manufacturing industry (that transforms the raw materials in intermediate products or consume products) and the construction industry (that constructs buildings and others infra structures).
In some contexts, the term industry can also be used as a synonym of activity sector, thus passing to include all activities of agriculture and livestock production, industrial, commercial or services.
