Competitiveness Concept
Generally, the term competitiveness is used to designate the intensity with which the companies compete between themselves in a certain market or activity sector. If, for example, in a certain market with slow growth exist a high number of companies with identical characteristics among them, there is a tendency that the competitive levels be bigger, this is, for what exists a bigger competitiveness.
In other contexts, however, the term competitiveness can be used to designate a company’s competitive capacity, group of companies or even of a region or country. In this case, the competitive capacity means the existence of factors that grant some kind of advantage of that company, group of companies, region or country over its more direct competitors.
